Barrabas took another swallow of his beer and stood. He walked over to the bar and called to the bartender. Diana watched as they conversed briefly and Barrabas reached into the pocket of his bush jacket and pulled out a wad of kyats. He paid the bartender for the drinks and peeled off more bills to encourage the sharing of information. The bartender stuffed the money into the pocket of his dirty apron, then talked to Barrabas for a long while, pointing north and waving his arm around a bit. Barrabas listened until the man was through, nodded at him and returned to the table.

"Let's go."

The SOBs and Langtao warriors stood and reached for their weapons and gear. The only one who asked a question was Diana. "And where are we going?"

"To Chien's estate," said Barrabas. He turned and stalked out of the bar.
